Cookie Langenfeld - Director

Cookie Langenfeld and her partner Todd purchased their Shuswap home in 2005 with the plan for future retirement. As it turned out, they loved being here so much that they commuted to and from VCR on the weekends for three years.

Todd then secured a full-time position with National Energy as the Trane Residential Sales Rep in 2008, the same year they opened Culinary Inspirations.

In 2009, she joined Downtown Salmon Arm (formally the DIA), serving as Vice President for one year and President for five years. She currently sits on the Board as a Director.

Cookie has served and continues to serve her community in many capacities including: as a representative for DSA on the City of Salmon Arm Parking Commission in 2010; a representative on the Community Employer Partnership Shuswap Advisory Committee since 2011; the Vision Committee since 2014; Chamber of Commerce DSA Rep since 2014; and as a Community Futures Board Member in 2013-2014.

After an injury, it was decided they would close their business in order to ensure a full recovery. While not currently operating a business in town, Cookie is still very much committed the health, well-being, and vibrancy of Salmon Arm's downtown and community.  It is for that reason that she welcomed the opportunity to once again be a part of the current Community Futures Board.
